Gopi Mohan Talks About 'Dookudu'

He has a name for himself in the industry.  After much struggle, he finally proved his mettle with Santosham in partnership with his long-time friend Dasarath.   There has been no looking back for him ever since he met Sreenu Vaitla, with whom he has struck a remarkable professional rapport.

Known for his comedies like Dhee, Ready and King, Gopi Mohan, the story-writer, has been equally adept at writing love stories like Nuvvu Nenu and dramas like Jhummandi Nadam. He floored K Raghavendra Rao with his narrating skills.  Today, he is all set to take a big leap with Dookudu.

In an interview to IndiaGlitz, Gopi Mohan talks about his journey in Tollywood so far and how Dookudu will be a different fare.

Dookudu confirmed on September 23

                             
The release date of Mahesh Babu-Samantha starrerDookudu, which is currently progressing at Chiran Fort, Begumpet in Hyderabad, has been confirmed. According to Anil Sunkara, one of the producers, Dookuduwill hit screens on September 23.
"We are going to release the film in a grand way and I am excited and looking forward to the release of the film," he said at the film's promotional function.
The unit is now canning a wedding song 'Adara Adaragottu' under the supervision of Dinesh Master and the ongoing schedule at Chiran Fort will continue for five more days, after which the unit will shoot an item song in a specially erected set at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.Dookudu is directed by Sreenu Vytla and produced by Anil Sunkara, Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the banner of 14 Reels Entertainment.

'Oh My Friend' to join the race of Dasara releases

                               

Siddhartha and Shruti Hassan are pairing up for 'Oh My Friend' directed by a debutant Venu Sriram and produced by Dil Raju on the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. After a long time, Siddhartha is doing a film for Dil Raju, who gave him a big hit like 'Bommarillu' in his career.

Hansika is also playing an important role in this film. Presently the film is being shot at Hyderabad and it is almost nearing completion.

The producer is planning to wrap up the shooting and other post-production formalities to enable to keep the film in Dasara race.

Film Nagar sources say, the producer is planning to launch the audio by the end of September and release the film during Dasara season.

Akasame Haddu releasing Date Confirmed.

Navdeep, Rajeev Saloori and Panchi starrer film "Akasame Haddu" is ready to hit the big screens on September 9th. The film has been completed the censor formalities and it was received the U certificate from the censor board.

While speaking to the media producer said "Director made this film in a good manner and we are expecting Andhra Pradesh audience will definitely make a hit film.

The film is said to be a youth based love entertainer and it is directed by Ravicharan Meripo and produced by a new producer Nimmagadda Venu Gopal on Ravi corporation banner, while Nimmagadda Ramakrishna presents it. Music has scored by Mantra Anand.

Oosaravelli unit leaves for Paris

After completing its Hyderabad schedule, the unit members of upcoming Jr. NTR-Tamannaah starrerOosaravelli, directed by Surendar Reddy, have left for Paris to shoot a couple of songs.
The makers are planning to release the audio through Adithya Music on September 12. The audio launch event will be held at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad. Produced under the banner of Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra, the movie is getting ready to hit the big screens on October 6.

It’s confirmed. The most awaited movie of the season Mahesh Babu starrer Dookudu is releasing on 23^rd September with highest number of prints. Dookudu is Mahesh Babu’s highest budget film till date and the expectations on the film have reached peaks after the promos and audio releases.

Directed by Srinu Vytla and produced by Anil Sunkara, Achanta Ram and Achanta Gopi on 14 Reels Entertainment banner, Dookudu is being presented by G. Ramesh Babu. Samantha played the leading lady in the film. The producers have announced the release date as 23^rd September.

The entire cast and crew of Dookudu says that, the film will surely reach Mahesh Babu’s fans expectations and are also quite confident on the film’s success.

Oosaravelli audio launch on September 12

The audio of Young Tiger Jr. NTR’s much awaitedOosaravelli, being directed by Surender Reddy and produced by B.V.S.N. Prasad under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, will be released on September 12 through Adithya Music. The makers planned to launch the audio on September 11, but it was postponed to September 12 because of Ganesh immersion on September 11 in Hyderabad. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer. Tamannaah is the heroine. Payal Ghosh of Prayanam fame is the second heroine. RR Movie Makers recently bagged the AP distributional rights. The film will be released in the first week of October.

'I'm Ready To Face Bezawada Durgamma Shaapam'

Most of us don’t dare to mess with God and especially, when it is Goddess Kanakadurga. But then, here is one man who has decided to face her wrath.

He is none other than Ram Gopal Varma and it appears that he has flouted the oath he took taking the name of Bezawada Kanaka Durgamma.

Apparently, his new production venture ‘Bezawada Rowdylu’ garnered huge controversy due to the title.

Despite several protests, Ramu was firm that he would not change the title.

In this process, he also took an oath and swore on Bezawada Durgamma that the title change will never happen.

However, ‘Bezawada Rowdylu’ has become ‘Bezawada’ now. When asked about it, Ramu is reportedly saying “Due to various reasons which I cannot reveal, the title change has taken place.”

When someone reminded him “You took an oath on Durgamma for not changing the title”, Ramu is replying “I am ready to face Durgamma’s Shaapam”. Let us see what will happen now.

Mahesh Babu Dookudu misses golden chance

                      
Dookudu movie starring Mahesh Babu in the lead was supposed to release on August 31st. But the film got delayed and it has missed a golden chance of cashing on the festive weekend. Looks like, it is also going to miss the chance of making the most of ‘potential film-less’ season too.

Dookudu is slated for release on September 23rd according to the news circles. That means it will have just a week to rock without any competition. Rajanna is slated for Sept 30 and Sri Rama Rajyam releases on Oct 6. All these films are carrying high expectations and therefore the business will definitely be shared among the three films.

There are many more films lined up for release during this time which will more or less affect Dookudu’s business. This film has certainly lost a golden chance of minting money during the drought period. Let’s see if it can cover up for the loss amidst the competition.

Jr NTR Oosaravelli completed Mumbai schedule

Young Tiger Jr NTR starer 'Oosaravelli' movie under the direction of Surender Reddy is currently being shot in Hyderabad. The movie uint is wraping the pacth work. Recently the unit has completed a schedule in Mumbai.

After this schedule the unit would leave to Switzerland for canning songs on Jr NTR and Tamanna. BVSS Prasad is producing this movie under the banner Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra, Devi Sri Prasad is giving the music for the movie.

Tamanna and Payal Ghosh are playing the female leads in this film. NTR is playing a very different character which will show him in various shades. The audio of the movie will be released on september 11th.

Only I know the reason for title change: RGV

Ram Gopal Varma knows that his films usually die a natural death one day into their release.  That's why he tries to generate maximum publicity while the movie is in the making and just before it is to hit the marquee.  He belittled all the directors in a song in his previous Telugu film, Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam, Appalraju.  This time, however, he doesn't seem to have the courage to call a spade a spade. RGV has renamed his up-and-coming Bejawada Rowdeelu as Bejawada.  So much for a director who is described as fearless and gutsy.  When it is 'rowdies', he thinks he will better not call them rowdies.  Unlike the directors, 'rowdies' are not soft targets. Well, he says that he doesn't care what the world thinks about why he might have chopped the title.  That said, RGV says that only he knows why he has changed the title. The world doesn't care to know the reason, sir. His previous Telugu film had nothing got to do with Appalraju's story or screenplay.  We only hope that this one too is not going to be about something else other than the rowdies in Bejawada!

Karthi coming up as 'Sakuni'

Young sensation Karthi made his debut into the Telugu film industry through 'Yuganiki Okkadu'. The film ran successfully in Telugu. Noticing his following in Telugu, another film was also dubbed into Telugu as 'Aawara' and this film too became an instant hit and raised his fan following.

With two hits to his credit, Karthi�s latest film was released as �Naa Peru Siva� and the film is running successfully on par with straight Telugu films. It is no surprise that all these three films were produced by Gnanavel Raja on the banner of Studio Green.

Now, yet another film of Karthi is being brought in Telugu on the same banner.  Presently the Tamil version is getting ready with the title 'Saguni' and the same is coming up in Telugu as 'Sakuni' and Studio Green is releasing it in Telugu.

It is learnt that the producer is planning simultaneous release of both the Tamil and Telugu versions. As a prelude, the logo launch and trailer release programme would be held in Hyderabad on September 2 in a grand manner.

The film is being made with politics in its backdrop and it would be satirical movie.

Another interesting point to note here is that Karthi is getting ready to act in a straight Telugu film under the direction of Bommarillu Bhaskar and the film would be produced by BVSN Prasad. Story discussions are still in progress for this straight Telugu movie. The film would hit the floors very soon.

Rajinikanth Sultan Name Changed As Dheera

Rajinikanth's upcoming animation flick Sultan – The Warrior title has been now re-titled as Dheera.Earlier to this Hara was the title in consideration and fixed for Sultan – The Warrior but now changed to Dheera for the tamil version of the film.
Soundarya Rajinikanth has finally short listed three titles and after having dicussions with her father Rajinikanth she fixed the title Dheera for the film.Soundarya felt that the title Dheera will be apt for the role of Rajini in the film.
Dheera is being made as a animation film in which few parts will be shooted live scenes and Soundarya also is in plans to make Dheera in 3d too.Superstar Rajinikanth will be playing the role of a warrior delivering punch dialouges as like his earlier films.Soundarya Rajinikanth's Ocher Studios are doing the animation works of the film.
