Heavy rain in coastal Andhra and Telangana in next 48-hours

Isolated heavy rain would occur overCoastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during next 48 hours.
Moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers would occur at many places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana while light to moderate rain or thundershowers would occur at a few places over Rayalaseema, MET office said in a release here today.
A Low pressure area has formed over Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral bay off North Andhra and Orissa coast yesterday and continue to persits.
Southwest monsoon has been active over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and rain occurred at many places over Coastal Andhra pradesh and at a few places over Telangana.
Komarada (Vizianagaram dist), Metpalli (Karimnagar dist) and Palasa (Srikakulam dist) recorded heavy rainfall of 7 cm each.
The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm are Ichapuram (Srikakulam dist) 6, Mandasa (Srikakulam dist) 5, Koderu (WestGodavari dist), Parvathipuram (Vizianagaram dist), Sompeta (Srikakulam dist), Sriramsagar (Nizamabad dist), Yellandu (Khammam dist) 4 each, Narsapur, Anakapalle and Araku Valley (both Visakhapatnam dist), Bobbili and Salur (both Vizianagaram dist), Huzurabad (Karimnagar dist), Palakonda, Patapatnam, Tekkali and Veeraghattam (all Srikakulam dist), Parkal (Warangal dist) 3 each, Kalingapatnam, Visakhapatnam, Amalapuram (East Godavari dist), Bhimavaram (West Godavari dist), Chodavaram (Visakhapatnam dist), Kaikalur and Tiruvuru (both Krishna dist), Karimnagar (Karimnagar dist), Narsampet (Warangal dist), Navipet (Nizamabad dist), Nirmal (Adilabad dist), Srungavarapukota (Vizianagaram dist) 2 each and Nizamabad, Visakhapatnam AP, Armoor (Nizamabad dist), Bhimadole, Chintalapudi, Tadepalligudem and Tanuku (all West Godavari dist), Dowlaiswaram and Rajahmundry (both East Godavari dist), Dubbak (Medak dist), Jagitiyal (Karimnagar dist), Jangaon (Warangal dist), Luxettipet, Mancherial and Mudhol (all Adilabad dist), Suryapet (Nalgonda dist), Terlam (Vizianagaram dist) one each.
